Rhoda at the Mill House

Rhoda has always had a needle in her hand, or so it seems. She started embroidering when she was a young child and continued it into her adult life – it’s her passion and hobby.

She developed her skills at the Royal School of Needlework, taking their needlework classes in the 1990s and obtaining numerous certificates of excellence and Advanced Diplomas in a variety of disciplines. To-date, she has mastered Goldwork, Whitework, Stumpwork, Canvas Work, Silk Shading, Advanced Silk Shading, Tassle-making, Blackwork, Creative Smoking and Appliqué.  In 2012 she was part of the RSN team that helped to embroider the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress, train, bodice, veil and shoes.

Rhoda will embroider bespoke commissions and holds various embroidery classes throughout the year.
